My Chemical Romance Audition Advertisement
A big thanks to A$h for this exclusive news. The above picture shows a My Chemical Romance audition advertisement sent out to actors. There are two roles, a girl aged 8-10 with an attitude and vulnerability, and a feminine male aged 18-25, with abs, who can roller skate. The two roles are to be used in the album artwork, advertising, promo, publicity, multimedia, digital and on-line, website and merchandise. There is also a possibility that they will appear in a music video. The shoot is currently set to take place on August 30th, but may be rescheduled anytime up until September 3rd. With that in mind, it looks like the album will be released in late October or November sometime.

I think Sipie’s excited… :p Kinda wish I was that hyped for the new album. Imagery sounds interesting. From what they said I was assuming that the imagery would be minimal with the stripped down album, but by the sounds of this it’ll definitely have a visual identity. Well, it is My Chemical Romance after all.

It was sent to me by A$h, who received it from an acting friend who was emailed the audition info. Hope she doesn’t mind me mentioning that?.
The timing of the shoot is interesting at the very least, if it’s true. It means that the album artwork is still not done and won’t be done till the middle of September at the earliest. That’s cutting it really close and we’re still without an annoucement of any kind.
Nah I don’t mind. Very different imagery for the new album than what I would have expected, but it’s going to be great whatever they choose to do.

You need 2+ months of promoting at the very least before releasing an album. Think about the promotion going on for albums that will be released shortly, it started wayyyyyy back in the spring.
Maybe aiming for a late Autumn/early winter release instead then. Just im time for Christmas.
I think late November makes sense at this point if they really ramp it up and start promoting/announcing in the next week or two or yeah, Christmas is the next opening. It just doesn’t seem like much is happening in terms of getting the word out, this is all stuff people had to dig for. :
Looking at The Black Parade it went like this. The first single (WTTBP) was debuted at the VMA’s on August 31st 2006, the music video for WTTBP was released on September 26th, and the album was released on 24th October. Looking at the way that went, we could still be on for a late October release date. I’d expect it to be a mid/late November release though, The Black Parade all seemed a bit more planned.

I think as long as we start getting information of some kind in early September (ie the first week or week and a half), we should be okay for that kind of release. Because you’re right, that’s kind of the schedule it needs to be on.
I think this seems unplanned because of the scrapped first album. They basically started promoting an album that didn’t exist last year at this time, went back and dealt with that preplanned promotion for the old album (the Spin magazine, the Nylon magazine etc) and then went back to work. So we’re looking at that old promotion as part of this new album promotion when in fact, it’s not. So I don’t know.
They absolutely need to get this rolling in the next week or two or otherwise, I will be incredibly surprised it’s not pushed back again. But that info gave me some optimism 🙂

There is currently no more info on this other than what’s mentioned above. All I can tell you is that I received this from A$h, who’s friend is an actor. They were sent the audition call by a casting site. Currently, we don’t know which site that is.
With the whole idea/theme of having two central characters for adverts, promos, album artwork and possibly videos, is anyone else reminded of what Green Day did for 21st Cent. Breakdown?

I was thinking of the brother and sister thing too. I mean it can’t be a love couple because the girl is not even a teenager, she’s a little girl and it look kind of weird if she was in a couple with that boy. Maybe they’re gonna be a brother and sister, we’ll see. MCR have always had a way to surprise their fans 🙂

Honestly, I watch other bands like 30 Seconds To Mars and see how they keep their fans up to date and how they keep in touch with them. It makes me jealous. I really don’t get why they don’t even twitter. Is it that hard to deal with fans? I don’t think so. We wait for so long and I don’t think it is fair to totally cut us off and let us muse about any single information we get.

I hope MCR’s new ablum gets released before my birthday. My birthday is October 29th. It would be a bummer if Its not released in October. November seems like a boring month to release an ablum, MCR promoted the Black Parade in September and released the ablum in October. We may be expecting a single in late September or early October! Hope its Death Before Disco!
