Gerard Way Cool List 2010

“The Cool List 2010” has been published in this weeks NME Magazine. Gerard Way was listed at #36.

36 – Gerard Way – My Chemical Romance
Say what you like about My Chemical Romance, their frontman never fails to give good quote. That’s because he invests so much thought in the conceptual side of his band. He claims new album “Danger Days: The True Lives Of The Fabulous Killjoys” was inspired by “70’s muscle cars”. Sounds ludicrous? Listen to the record, with it’s gleaming surfaces and growling punk-rock exuberance, and it makes perfect sense. A songwriter with a filmmaker’s eye for the cool detail and sassy turn-of-phrase. Way understands that great bands are not just about the music.

NME.com is giving readers a chance to have their say in the online version of the list. Gerard is ranking higher online, currently at #8, with a rating of 5.67. To vote for Gerard visit NME.com where you can rate his coolness from 1 – 10 stars.

all the people that are surrounding Gerard at the moment look like Queers. I’m not being mean.. but seriously just look at them.. they are not cool.. they most likely can’t even sing (like most newer bands… i Know MGMT is awful live.. i’ve heard them.)
