“Na Na Na” World Premiere Bootleg

I’ve just streamed and recorded the world premiere of My Chemical Romance’s “Na Na Na”. Taken from Radio 1045.com‘s Flash player, it’s a reasonable quality recording. Unfortunately there is a slight 1 second glitch, but other than that it’s a solid stream. I’ll try and record tonight’s Zane Lowe show if I can.

  3. Daniel says:

  4. Daniel says:

this is the one I just posted xD

  5. sipie says:

I think that the glitch was intentional….

  6. xtiney says:

Can someone put this version on youtube? πŸ™‚

  7. Tine says:

This is better than what I expected.. oh my god, it’s so fucking good. Pure rock’n’roll. MY GOD.
Honestly, this removes the theatrical feeling and the polished-ness of The Black Parade.. and it’s amazing.

  8. Whoknows says:

Omg my life is compleate πŸ˜€

  9. skydog says:

It’s good. BUT some of the song feels off.. but that’s a good thing .. that means it’s not polished to the point of wanting to punch the record companies in the face.

  10. Lara says:

    Zane Lowe mentioned DrinkingSouls. ❀

  11. Brian says:

I REALLY hope someone just recorded the KROQ preimere online, because I just heard it and the quality was amazing.

  12. Ash says:

Here’s the one from KROQ peoples!

  13. LugosiLives says:

i heard the kroq premier. they said something about a free download on their site and an interview vid, but i cant seem to find anything closely relevant BUT i had the most epic car wash experienece ever today at 11:30AM :p

  14. Ash says:

Well I think… the person who sent me the link said it was from KROQ…

  15. Pissed Off says:

About the poll on the site…
How can the title be original? I’ve never seen/heard it before.. or anything like it.
What was original was “The Black Parade”. That was generic IMO.

  16. LugosiLives says:

lol ash beat me to it, i just refreshed the page and BAM!

  17. skydog says:

That is not the KRoQ one.. same one as before.

  18. Daniel says:

The Song is online on Kroq.com!!!

  19. Cryptic says:

Much better than that promo video. I’m was getting worried there for a second.

    But lol @ the synth…

  20. Claire says:

What the fuck? Is that gerards voice?

  21. Cryptic says:

    @Claire

Yeah, it is. It seems a little different. In the one high part where it’s a harmony it sounds a bit auto-tuned. People are saying he got more lessons but it doesn’t sound like that to me…he’s still kind of talk-singing. One thing I’ve always noticed about MCR recordings are that Gerard’s voice is buried more in the mix at certain points than most bands.

  22. Claire says:

To me it’s not just the highest parts, it’s like all throughout the verses. Like when he first starts singing I’m like, whaa—?

Despite this I do enjoy that one highest part, when he says something about “I don’t need it but I’m (something; sounds like ‘sick?’).”

  23. Cryptic says:

Yeah, I hear it too. I think he’s gonna have a hell of a time trying to sing this live because the verses are pretty quick…that’s if he still smokes.

It sounds like Ray is tapping towards the 2nd half of the song…which is new for MCR. I can’t tell if this is Bob playing drums…it sounds kind of similar to what they had premiered at the Roxy…but the china cymbal is being used way too much…and Bob hates the china.

The track is better than the teaser but it’s not GREAT. I kind of feel like it can get annoying after a while.

  24. skydog says:

    @Cryptic
You are right, especially about the China cymbal and the annoying issue.
I’m actually sort of annoyed by it already (yes I still love the song but if you put it on repeat you’ll see what I mean.. it gets annoying to the ears LOL)
It’s still good.. I still think it feels really off…
Not very good transitions on the producers part.

PS. Tapping by Ray in the song is sweet (it’s faded out a tad bit.. but it’s the shredding part right before the solo… if you less educated music listeners didn’t know.)

  25. sipie says:

Lets see whe the album rolls out. They’ve probably mixed it differntly to discourage bootlegs and buy the official product πŸ˜‰

  26. richard says:

recording drummer for this is tim from pency prep btw

  27. Cryptic says:

    @Skydog

Yeah. I’ve been replaying it over and over because there’s nothing really new out that I like by any other band. The bridge…the talking part I don’t really like. It goes on too long and feels awkward. They should have either just kept the talking part and gone onto the solo or kept the singing part. It doesn’t fit in my opinion.

The Black Parade was a lot more exact and organized. The song structure on TBP was awesome and everything just fit in the songs.

    @Richard

How do you know it’s Tim Hagevik from Pencey Prep? It doesn’t really sound like him…but then again we haven’t heard him play since the Pencey Prep album. It’s definitely not Matt Pelissier…too clean.

  28. Claire says:

Nah it would never be Matt. Ya I was just saying to my friend, kinda sounds like all the different parts of the song are just kind of patched together. Weird flow. But maybe that means they’re going back to being kind of rough or something, I guess we’ll have to wait for the whole album to tell. I don’t want to compare anything to TBP.

I’m not sure how I feel about the talking part, but it’s the part right after that that I don’t like, the “everyone wants to save the world” part…..blegh, songwriting 101 much? Like, the melody and lyrics together, DRIPPING with obvious and radio. Like it hits me over the head immediately too, I didn’t deduce this after analyzation or something.

BUT–it’s definitely catchy and I’ll probably have fun jumping around to it. So it’s got that. Some of the lyrics are interesting as well.

  29. Claire says:

I just listened to the newest recording Chris just posted up, for some reason that actually makes a difference, like I understand the flow more now. Or maybe that’s just cuz I’ve listened to it a few times by now. Still though, it’s kind of confusing. At some parts I can hang with it, I’m like, ya, rock’n’roll! And then at other sections I’m like…whaaat?

  30. Emily says:

I would just like to add that the beginning I was like “Is that Gerard?” too, but then I listened to it a few times and it totally is. It’s more like his singing in Bullets.

Anyways, totally in love with the song. Been listening to it for over 2 hours.

  31. Michael says:

This song rocks and im sure theres more to come!! wooo hoo!!

  32. sipie says:

Its addictive. Beenlistening to it since 11 last night and its now 9.30 in the morning.

  33. Claire says:

So, it’s a few days later, I’ve listened to it a couple times…kinda like it now. Damnit, how do they always do that?
I think I just accepted that it was going to be an obvious song, and then I was able to enjoy it.
